2023 - What We Did

Key activities in support of our vision:

Preaching and teaching ministry was principally delivered by Rev Dr Jacky with support from two of our deacons.

Visiting ministers included Rev Carol Bostridge, a friend of LWCF and Regional London Baptist Minister and Louise Isaac who taught on prayer.

Our focus for evangelism included:
Our 111 people initiative – prayers, relationship and support to 111 people in our network

Given our heart to reach out to those in need we ran two series of the CAP Money Coaching Course online to equip and enable those in our community needing assistance during the cost of living crisis. Feedback obtained via email, zoom chat and survey monkey was overwhelmingly positive. We plan to run further courses in 2024.

13th–19th May – Rev Dr Jacky was one of a team of visionary London ministers selected to visit New York City, United States, to undertake site visits and engage with Redeemer City to City methodologies for partnering recruiting, training, coaching and resourcing leaders to start and strengthen churches in cities  https://thelondonproject.co.uk

27th May – ‘Jesus Heals’ Day @ Ellel Ministries - A group of us travelled together to Farnham to receive focused teaching on ‘healing and wholeness’ followed by the opportunity to receive prayer ministry. We had a great time of fun, food and fellowship and everyone spoke of how the teaching had helped, strengthened and encouraged them.

30th September – Thanksgiving Service with Keynote Speaker Rev Les Isaac OBE: celebrating the life and ministry of our founder Rev Dr Curdell McLeod who went to be with the Lord in 2019 and to acknowledge how far God has brought us in the past 4 years as a church; giving thanks for all the wonderful answers to prayer, breakthroughs and personal testimonies our members and their networks have experienced.

12th-22nd October – Mission to Ghana – Rev Dr Jacky went with The Ascension Trust to Ghana as part of a holistic missions team focused on: education, health and the gospel for all, in partnership with local civic and church leaders. Our work in the city was principally amongst the Kayayei girls in Accra and also in the central village of Bremen Fowumanyou
